Fire alarm/ Emergencies

Friends in case of any fire alarm/emergency if you have to move out of house .If there are any natural calamities like Hurricanes/ Tornadoes and you are advised o take shelter at some where safe, Please do not neglect the warning. ANY IMPORTANT PAPERS/GOLD / Any other which you think is important . See that the bag is not heavy or too much loaded it should easy to carry to keep the things which are of maximum priority only .

Kitchen

Friends well in case of stove as far as I know there are two types here in US .
1. Gas stove
2. Electric stoves

When it comes to gas/electric always try to keep the kitchen neat and clean.
Bugs are a major problem .........specially for those with kids try to keep the house clean and bugs free.
Usually if your stove is a gas stove its not a problem to cook as its the same in India(with out the hassle of the gas cylinder of course) but when it comes to electric stove, cooking is a bit difficult . Buy pans that have flat bottom so that heat is spread evenly

Note:Its normal that taste of food in India and here will have some differences. It can be because of the type of vegetables we get or even the way of cooking. So dont worry girls. Enjoy all the food when you go to India .Even my dreams were so but my India trip was really very different dint get much time to taste.................may be I am out of topic well lets come to the point again

For electric stove to keep them neat
We get aluminum foils you can use them as cover over the stove .
I know you will ask how to do this its simple. Cut foil in the same shape as the electric stove is but a little more in the corners so that you can fold the foil edge in the stove edge .
Next with knife cut foil exactly at the place where coils are so that we can put the dish on the coils thats it you work is done . In case there is problem during cooking all the spills & food will fall on the foil and thus reducing your work when you have to clean. All you have to do is just replace the foil. It is a good practice to replace the foil once in 2 weeks or early as you wish. .....................................happy cooking girls.

Keep band aids handy that will help you .

Important usually many will prefer to deactivate the smoke detector at home. Do not do that especially if you are in apartments. Fire Alarms alter us to move out in case of Fire.
